FAQs
Product
What products can I use Solvin3D for?
Solvin3D is designed for sportswear, teamwear, uniforms, clothing and other personalised products. Each product needs prepared 3D resources and a defined set of designs and customisation options.
What can customers personalise in 3D?
Customers can choose prepared designs, colours and available patterns, add text, names, numbers and uploaded logos, and move, resize or rotate artwork on the 3D model. You decide which choices and editing tools are available for each product and design.
Can customers choose product variants or a complete set?
Yes. Customers can switch between prepared 3D variants, and a product can show several components together, such as a shirt and shorts. You prepare the available options in advance; customers choose and personalise them rather than model a new product.
Can customers save a design and share it?
Signed-in customers can save configurations and continue editing later. A published design link lets someone view the design in interactive 3D, submit an order or create their own copy. Editing a copy preserves the original; you can also update, expire or revoke shared links.
What does Try-On show?
Try-On shows the current design in prepared scenes combining photographic backgrounds with 3D garments. Customers can switch views and download an image. Each product and its variants need prepared scene resources; this does not provide body scanning or size recommendations.
Setup & training
What do I need to prepare for a configurable product?
Each product needs prepared 3D models, compatible SVG artwork and the designs and options you want to offer. Share your available materials so we can review what can be reused and what preparation is needed.
Can I get started without ready 3D models?
Yes. Send product photos, specifications or any design files you already have, and we will review the preparation needed. Our team can create or prepare resources as a paid service, with the scope and price agreed before work starts.
What is included in the free first setup?
Initial account setup and configuration of your first agreed product are included, using the materials you provide. Custom 3D modelling from scratch, digitisation, non-standard development and special integrations are quoted separately.
Do you provide Dashboard training?
Yes. New customers who plan to manage their catalogue and products themselves receive a two-hour Dashboard training course for one employee. Additional training can be arranged as a separately agreed service.
Where can I see an example for my product?
Start with Showcase to explore the available examples. If you would like a closer match to your product, tell us what you sell and we can discuss the closest available example.
Dashboard & orders
Can I manage my catalogue and designs myself?
Yes. Dashboard lets you manage products, categories, designs, customisation steps and order settings. You can duplicate content, save drafts, publish products and reuse your resource libraries. If you prefer, our team can manage your catalogue and designs as a paid service with an agreed scope and price.
Can customers personalise and order for a whole team?
Yes. Customers can use a team roster with a name, number and size for each player, or order by size and quantity. Available order modes, required fields and pricing rules are set up for your products in Dashboard.
Can prices depend on quantity and selected options?
Yes. You can configure quantity-based price tiers and option-based surcharges or discounts. These rules determine unit prices and totals; when a price cannot be confirmed, a request can be handled with a manager's quote.
What information do I receive with an order request?
Solvin3D preserves the submitted configuration, preview, SVG artwork, original logos, sizes, quantities, team roster and pricing information, where available. In Dashboard you can search submissions, manage statuses and internal notes, and export a ZIP with the available files and CSV data. Email notifications can also be configured.
Can I track how customers use my catalogue?
Yes. Catalogue analytics tracks views, Configurator starts and engagement, order-form openings and submitted orders. Reports include a funnel, daily activity and popular sites, products and designs. These are tracked events rather than a guaranteed count of unique buyers.
Website & integrations
Do I need to rebuild my website?
No. Add the HTML/JS embed code to a page on an allowed domain. Your existing website stays in place, and customers can personalise products and submit requests through Solvin3D. A connection to your store's cart is optional.
Can I use Solvin3D without connecting a shopping cart?
Yes. Customers can personalise products and send order requests through Solvin3D's own forms. A connection to your store's cart and checkout is optional.
Can customers use my WooCommerce cart and checkout?
Yes, when the optional WordPress/WooCommerce integration is configured. It links a store product to a prepared design and passes the configuration, quantity, confirmed price and preview into WooCommerce. Your store then handles cart and checkout.
What if my website uses another platform?
Other platforms can use the standard embed if they support HTML/JS. Connections to their cart or other business systems require a separate technical review and an agreed development scope.
Can I use Solvin3D on several websites?
Yes. Standard includes 1 website, and Multi-site includes up to 3 websites managed from one Dashboard. Additional websites can be connected for $50 per site.
Plans & services
Is there a fee for each sale?
No. Solvin3D does not charge commissions or fees per order or sale. You pay for your subscription and any separately agreed additional services.
Is the number of products limited?
No. All plans allow unlimited products. Technical limits may apply to file sizes, storage and excessive infrastructure usage.
Which services are quoted separately?
Custom 3D modelling, product and catalogue content services, additional training, custom development and non-standard integrations can be quoted as separate projects. The scope and price are agreed before work starts.
How does free migration work?
Free migration depends on the availability and compatibility of the original assets from your existing configurator. We review the materials and agree the products and scope to transfer; incompatible or missing resources may require separately quoted work. The first month is paid before migration starts, but the subscription period begins after the agreed migration is complete and your configurator is ready to use.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes. Cancel before the next billing period and your account and published configurators remain active until the end of the period already paid for.
